Our cutlery is hand forged, burnished, stainless steel and comes from Sri Lanka, where we lived in a hut on a beach for many months of each year, over a period of ten years.
I like to contribute to the economy of places that have hosted me, positive contribution helps everyone.
Our cutlery does come from far away. Its sustainability lays in the fact that it is timeless, well made and we never change it, so customers can come back to add to their collection.
We supply several lovely restaurants including Table by Bruno Verjus in Paris and Sanay313 in Turkey.
It is dishwasher safe. What I did with mine before the first wash is season it with olive oil and remove with kitchen paper, then wash.
this removes any residue from the forging and ensures a long life (17 years in my case and many years for our restaurant clients).
It feels good in the hand and is irreplaceable unpretentious and well made.
Most people including restaurants now just take the starter knife and for and leave off the bigger dinner fork.
